Accelerate your technical due diligence with automated Code Reports™
Whether you are a private equity, venture capital, M&A specialist or a business who needs to provide evidence of technical due diligence, then our fast and easy to understand AI-powered code intelligence and insights engine is perfect for providing comprehensive code audit analysis.
Simplified technical summaries
Upon completion of our AI-powered code intelligence and insights scan you will will have a complete overview of your entire codebase. Everything from coding languages present, file types being used, code complexity analysis, coding quality scoring and developer history all accessible both within our web dashboard or via our PDF Code Report™ striaght ot your inbox.
Understanding potential issues
A critical element of any due diligence activity is assessing potential risk. The Code Registry’s platform will perform a comprehensive scan of every line of code across all your repositories to identify any security vulnerabilities within the code itself, all ranked by severity level. As well as this you receive assessments of any 3rd party dependencies, open source components and are able to review any compliance requirements around these areas.
Cost-to-replicate valuation analysis
Whenever planning investment, performing due diligence or auditing, a key element is around what a businesses software assets actually are, and more importantly, what they are worth. The Code Registry’s proprietary cost-to-replicate algorythm will summarise the breakdown of an organisations codebase (custom code, open source components, etc) and provide an estimated cost to re-build the codebase as it is today.
Security Assessments
While there are plenty of code security scanning tools on the market today, they all focus on on performing scans on code being developed prior to deployment to ensure there are no issues ‘today’. The Code Registry works differently, our Due Diligence report includes a complete scan of the entire codebase, across multiple repositories and compares against over 4,000 rules to hilight potential security vulnerabilities within the code and across any 3rd party dependencies and open source components.
Code Improvements
A key question any investor or business owner would love to answer is “how good my code is”. While this can be very subjective, there are many non-negotiable coding best practices that any developer wouldn’t argue with. The Code Registry’s AI Quotient™ uses these coding best practices, alongside the facets of analysis covered within the platform to provide our users with a score of how much of their codebase could be improved using automated coding tools.
Cost-to-replicate Valuation
You know how much money is being spent on a businesses software development, but how does this translate into being a valuable business asset? Our cost-to-replicate valuation is designed to provide investors or business owners an independent metric for them to benchmark what it would cost if they had to build everything within their codebase again. We take into account coding languages, their level of complexity, any poor code, open source components and end up with a valuation by language and code vault.
Automated Reporting
Once The Code Registry has connected to an organisations codebase and created your independently secured code vault, our AI-powered code intelligence engine gets to work. Once completed all of the analysis and insights will be available to dissect via the web dashboard, but at the same time we will send an executive summary PDF Code Report™ via email. This can be shared around board members, investors or used in conjunction with other documentation.
