WHY NOW
No neutral, third-party institute has existed with the mandate to answer these questions at scale.
The scale of the shift is hard to overstate. Between 85% and 90% of all new software is now generated by AI, arriving amid a broader trillion-dollar wave of compute and technology investment. Enterprises are left asking hard questions with no agreed-upon answers: is this code secure, is it compliant, can it be trusted in production, and who actually owns the intellectual property behind it.
The Code Institute positions itself to fill exactly that void — convening enterprises, governments, technology vendors, and researchers around a shared framework for evaluating code quality, security, and risk.
